LIVING THE LAB LIFE
A BLOG FOR ASCLS REGION V
This August, I had the privilege of attending the 2016 ASCLS Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA. I was able to do this thanks to a generous grant from ASCLS's New Professional New Member Forum (NPNMF). This grant is available to ASCLS members who have been a part of the organization for less than five years or who are less than five years in the field. This grant was established in hopes of encouraging further involvement in the organization.
Attending an annual meeting is an experience I encourage for all ASCLS members. An annual meeting provides an unmatched opportunity for networking--bringing together laboratory professionals from all fifty states. Additionally, continuing education lectures feature speakers from all walks of lab life, delivering a wonderfully diverse and expert learning experience. I also particularly enjoyed having the opportunity to observe more closely the inner workings of the organization on a national scale.
Thank you to the NPNMF for giving me the opportunity to participate in the meeting. I highly encourage all interested new professionals and new members to apply.
See you in San Diego!
